Претседателот на Република Македонија, д-р Ѓорге Иванов денеска ги прими членовите на младата македонска ракометна репрезентација кои го освоија шестото место на Светското првенство во Алжир за играчи до 21 година.

Претседателот Иванов им го честиташе постигнатиот успех на нашите млади ракометари и освоеното шесто место, што претставува најдобар пласман за македонска репрезентација на светските првенства во ракомет.

„Очекувам исто како вашите постари колеги да продолжите со високи резултати за да се радуваме на сите ваши успеси, како во Европа, така и во светот. Многу сме горди на вас и посакуваме да имате исти успеси. Вие сте млади луѓе и пред вас стои извонредна спортска кариера", им порача претседателот Иванов на младите ракометари.

Македонскиот претседател посочи дека Македонија со последните успеси постанува ракометна сила и дека се надева оти младите ракометари ќе ги надминат нивните постари колеги, надополнувајќи дека ќе дојде време кога и тие ќе добиваат ордени и медали за нивните идни успеси.

Селекторот Илија Темелковски, заблагодарувајќи се за приемот, рече дека е големо задоволство да се биде шести во светот и да се постигне најголемиот успех во македонскиот екипен спорт.

„Го постигнавме можеби најголемиот успех во колективниот спорт во Македонија и влеговме во самиот врв на светскиот ракомет. Зад себе оставивме големи репрезентации, светски велесили. Момците одиграа со срце, имавме тешки натпревари и заслужено сме онаму каде што сме. Мислам дека ќе продолжиме да се афирмираме преку младата репрезентација и дека ќе има уште вакви успеси", рече селекторот Темелковски.

Потсети дека и претходно Македонија имала млади ракометни репрезентации кои постигнале успеси на европските првенства.

„Добро е да се има континуитет. Задоволен сум што повторно добив извонредна генерација на ракометари кои се квалитетни. Многу помогна нивното искуство стекнато во Лигата на шампионите и СЕХА лигата, а на мене остана само да го извадам максимумот од овие ракометари", потенцира Темелковски.

Ракометарот Филип Кузмановски нагласи дека првенството било многу напорно и додаде дека иако биле добро физички подготвени темпото на игра и секојдневното играње натпревари придонело дел од натпреварите да ги одиграат полошо.

„Во претходните години немавме резултати какви што се очекуваа од нас. Ова светско првенство беше последно за дел од репрезентативците и мислам дека не мотивираше нас постарите играчи да дадеме се од себе. Тоа се покажа и на терен. Изигравме добро првенство. На дел од натпреварите потфрливме бидејќи немавме доволно време да се одмориме, а дел од играчите играа на секој натпревар по 60 минути. Сепак, никој не се штедеше и го даваше максимумот од првата до последната минута", изјави Кузмановски.

Голманот Мартин Томовски е задоволен од постигнатиот успех, но вели дека секогаш може и подобро.

„Среќни сме што ја имавме честа да го оствариме најголемиот колективен успех во Македонија. Не беше лесно, но почнавме да менуваме некои работи и да го искоренуваме македонскиот менталитет со тоа што прикажувавме одлична игра без разлика на начинот на кој го отворавме натпреварот", рече Томовски.

Today, at the Villa Biljana in Ohrid, the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received members of the Macedonian Cultural Association "Braka Miladinovci" from Osijek, Croatia.

The representatives of the Macedonian Cultural Association "Miladinov Brothers" expressed gratitude for the support they received from the Macedonian institutions and the Republic of Macedonia as their home country and informed President Ivanov of the challenges they face, as well as about future projects, performances and activities.

The Macedonian President welcomed their engagement in promoting Macedonian history, cultural and spiritual traditions and values, adding that their contribution is important for the preservation of Macedonian identity and fostering the Macedonian language.

The discussion focused on the activities of the Community of the Macedonians in the Republic of Croatia, and the members of the company gifted President Ivanov, with a monograph of the Macedonian Cultural Association "Miladinov Brothers".

The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received today in the "Villa Biljana" in Ohrid the organizers of the "Ohrid Summer" festival and members of the world famous jazz quartet "Fourplay" from the United States, who,  accompanied by the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra will perform at the opening of this year's 57th edition of "Ohrid Summer".
In the wake of tomorrow's opening of "Ohrid Summer", the Macedonian President expressed satisfaction with the annual program, pointing out that this festival gives an exceptional contribution to the promotion of Macedonian culture in the world, as well as to the most important world cultural achievements in front of the Macedonian audience.

President Ivanov welcomed the participation of the American smooth jazz quartet at "Ohrid Summer" and wished them a successful performance at the opening of the festival the following day. In a conversation with the members of "Fourplay", the Macedonian president pointed out that jazz, with its improvisation, creativity and instrumental peculiarity is a universal language that connects people and always goes with the aspiration to achieve and safeguard freedom. The members of "Fourplay" thanked the Macedonian President and expressed their satisfaction that the President is a great lover and supporter of jazz music.

At the meeting, the organizers of the festival informed President Ivanov of the preparations for the new, enriched concept of the Ohrid Summer Festival, which introduced several musical genres and content, maintaining however classical music as its main feature. Ohrid Summer Festival will offer over 40 musical performances by domestic and foreign artists, 10 theater plays and even more exhibitions. The Republic of Macedonia will host over 300 high profile artists, performers and authors from 20 countries from all over the world, among which China, Indonesia, USA, Netherlands, Italy, Russian Federation, Austria, Canada, Poland, Spain, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Denmark, Armenia and other countries.

The manifestation "Ohrid Summer" is traditionally held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Macedonia.

The European Union should accelerate the integration process as a vital element and part of its long-term security strategy. The Balkans have always been a crossroads of Europe, and stable countries also mean better protection of its southeastern borders, said the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov at the "Dubrovnik Forum 2017", which was focused  on the topic of "Adriatic-Mediterranean cooperation and security of the Southeastern Europe".

President Ivanov pointed out that the biggest threat to European security is yet to come, and it is urgent to pay attention to it, pointing to the thousands of foreign fighters from the Balkan countries participating in the fighting in the Middle East.

- The EU and NATO must plan preventive measures against returnees aimed not only at their member states, but also on the unintegrated part of the Balkans, the head of state stressed.

President Ivanov emphasized that the integration of the Balkans as a whole is not only important, but necessary for long-term peace, stability and security in the region.

The integration of the Balkan countries, Ivanov said, is the most important tool in the European Union to prevent religious extremism. - This would guarantee hope and progress in the region, which already shows signs of disappointment and despair. The European dream should become a reality for all and as soon as possible, the President said.

The Balkan countries, Ivanov stated, who are not yet integrated into the European Union, are a potential Trojan horse at the gates of Europe.

- Non-integrated Balkan countries are a security gap in a very fragile part of Europe. The Balkans as a region already has their own challenges that can very easily cause instability even without external influence: ethnic and religious diversity, historical clashes, recent conflicts, unemployment, poverty, corruption and organized crime. All this, combined with the ever-present nationalism, ethnocentrism, xenophobia and, more recently, Islamophobia, shows that the Balkans have all the necessary ingredients that terrorist groups can potentially exploit to boost Europe directly and indirectly, President Ivanov said in his address at the "Dubrovnik Forum".

The region, Ivanov added, faces challenges that can lead to instability and dysfunctional states can very easily become a refuge for terrorists, a base for further operations, transit training camps, recruiting, indoctrination and infiltration on European soil.

Hence, the President appealed for the need for long-term regional security policies as a first step towards creating a stable and secure environment.

President Ivanov participated yesterday at the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the participating countries in the South-East European Cooperation Process and held a bilateral meeting with the President of Croatia, Ms. Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic.

The European Union sjould restore the faith and perspective for the entire region, but not only declaratively and only in words, but also with deeds, concrete steps and actions, said the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, in his address at the Summit of Heads of State and Governments of the participating countries of the South East European Cooperation Process, which takes place in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

"If the European Union, which is the single and most influential mobilizing and transformative force, does not make our future tangible and real, I have no dilemma that we will return to the past and things will get worse. In parallel, this process should be accompanied by the process of building trust, solidarity, cooperation and support in SEE, bilaterally or through the regional mechanisms we have, including the SEECP. New energy is needed, "President Ivanov said.

In his speech, the Macedonian President also pointed out the case of Macedonia's Euro-integration process as a typical example of a wrong and damaging approach so far, and called for greater mutual support for faster integration into the EU and NATO.

"Instead of talking about concrete projects that will benefit our nations, we blame each other. Instead of finding creative ways to help the countries of the region for their faster integration into the EU and NATO, we prefer to find creative ways to block the European path of the neighbors, "President Ivanov said, pointing out that sharp rhetoric by some politicians had a negative impact and strengthened tensions between countries in the region.

The head of state emphasized that the countries of the region must restore mutual trust, have political will and sincere cooperation based on concrete projects, in order to deal with the real and immediate challenges in the region. "We need a strategic turn to ourselves, towards the region, in conditions of global instability. But again, the region needs EU support, to make this strategic turning substantive and sustainable. Let's not allow fear and mistrust to steal our future and perspective ", said the Macedonian President.

He also pointed to the serious projections and expectations of new migration waves from African countries, which would allow the region to face serious security deficiencies, unless the level of regional co-operation between intelligence agencies and security forces is increased.

Ivanov emphasized the need for infrastructure and transport projects in order to better connect the region and improve the lives of citizens. "These projects can create thousands of jobs for the younger generation, facilitate transport and bring the citizens of our region hope that the future they want can become a reality without them leaving their countries," the Macedonian President said.

The SEECP Summit ended with the adoption of a joint declaration in which the leaders of the region reaffirmed the need to deepen regional co-operation among the countries of Southeastern Europe in the direction of further development of the prosperity and stability of the region. The Joint Declaration encompasses the commitments of the countries in terms of full European and Euro-Atlantic integration of the region, effective handling of security challenges, boosting economic cooperation, growth and development, as well as the needs of the parliamentary cooperation of the participating countries.

"We are convinced that European integration will not be complete until all countries in this region become part of the Union. Maintaining the momentum of enlargement and the continued commitment to reforms is crucial to the credibility of enlargement policy ", states the joint declaration of the SEECP countries. Regarding the security challenges in the declaration," We decided to invest our best efforts in building a sustainable network for cooperation and exchange of information in order to effectively combat the threats of terrorism and radicalization in the region. "In order to adequately respond to the challenges of the migrant crisis, it is pointed out that a common approach is needed, based on cooperation and dialogue between all SEECP participants.

President Ivanov will hold a bilateral meeting with the Croatian President, H.E. Ms. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic this afternoon.

The Summit is also attended by the President of Slovenia Mr. Borut Pahor; the President of the Republic opf Montenegro, Mr. Filip Vujanovic; the President of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vucic; the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci; the President of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria, Boyko Borisov.

The Croatian Chairmanship with the SEECP ends with the Dubrovnik Summit. As of July 2017, the Chairmanship of the regional initiative, which is rotating among all member states, is assumed by the Republic of Slovenia.

- Секоја земја треба да се сврти кон себе, да наоѓа решенија за своите предизвици и на тој начин да придонесува за стабилноста на целиот регион, изјави македонскиот претседател.

Иванов порача дека ПСЈИЕ треба да се фокусира на конкретни проекти и да даде соодветен одговор на прашањата кои го засегаат регионот. Посочувајќи ги заканите од илегална миграција, Иванов изјави дека земјите од нашиот регион мора преку меѓусебна доверба да го зајакнат нивото на комуникација, соработка и размена на податоци за да можат соодветно да одговорат на безбедносните предизвици.

На овие теми, македонскиот претседател попладнево разговарал и на билатералната средба со хрватската претседателка, г-ѓа Колинда Грабар Китаровиќ.

Иванов истакна дека е потребно регионот да се интегрира и ја потенцираше потребата од инфраструктурни проекти, енергетско поврзување и поврзување на младите луѓе од регионот.

-Младите едноставно имаат потреба за поблиска комуникација и едноставно да ги сфатат предизвиците за да можат да живеат со нив, бидејќи целта на сите ни е тие да останат во нашиот регион, а не да ги напуштаат земјите, изјави македонскиот претседател. Тоа е општ проблем во целиот регион, додаде Иванов, регионот останува без најкреативните, најспособните млади луѓе и затоа акцентот во иднина треба да биде кон енергетско поврзување, инфраструктурни проекти и работа со младите.

Иванов изрази очекување дека завршната декларација од Самитот, нема да остане само на хартија, и истакна дека секоја земја од ПСЈИЕ мора во својот домен да ги реализира овие заложби.

Претседателот Иванов денеска се обрати на пленарна сесија на Самитот на земјите - учеснички во ПСЈИЕ. Утре, македонскиот претседател ќе учествува на „Дубровник форум 2017", што се одржува на тема „Јадранско-медитеранска соработка и безбедноста на Југоисточна Европа".
