In a time of modern political, religious and cultural constellations, post-global society, civilization ups-and-downs, social alienation, negation of tolerance, religious fundamentalism and, unfortunately, depreciation of values are all phenomena that are heard of more often. At the same time, many societies are in a deep crisis, which for a long time is not only a crisis of the institutions but also of moral values and orientations of co-existence.

Religion is one of the basic moral correctives of the human nature.
Religion and inter-religious dialogue play a pivotal role in overcoming the prejudices, in closeness, understanding, peace and tolerance among people.

This is the direction in which the project “Spiritual dialogues” will be realized, as a continuation of the similar activities undertaken by the tragically deceased President Trajkovski. The Project is seen as a series of activities of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, with a purpose of improving and strengthening the relations between the religious communities and emphasizing the importance and the need for permanent cooperation of the religious communities and their leaders. Part of the project envisages meetings of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, with religious leaders, maintaining inter-confessional dialogue and patronage of inter-religious forums.
