PRM_portretThe President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov has addressed a holiday greeting to the Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia Stefan on the occasion of the holiday St. Clement of Ohrid.

Your Beatitude,

Allow me, on my behalf and on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia to address the most sincere and heartfelt greetings to you personally, to the members of the Holy Synod of Hierarchs, to the reverend clergy and as well as to all of the Orthodox believers in the country and abroad, on the occasion of the great holiday – St. Clement of Ohrid.

This holiday is dedicated to the first Macedonian Archbishop and the most gifted disciple of the Slavic brothers Saints Cyril and Methodius – St. Clement of Ohrid.

Clement of Ohrid has steered the people to the faith with his sweet words, and with his acts he ascended to the divine and blessed life.

The character and the work of St. Clement of Ohrid are deeply embedded in the Macedonian history. His work and mission are worthy of respect, but also a lesson for all the future generations that preserving the cultural and linguistic uniqueness is a primal duty.

Honoring these great holidays represents a fundamental premise in the strengthening of spirituality and respect for Christian values.

His ecclesiastical and enlightening work should be our path, guide and an eternal inspiration for good deeds.
Happy holiday and many happy returns!

Dr. Gjorge Ivanov
