The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received today in a farewell meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Macedonia, resident in Sofia, H.E. Mr. Pedro Pablo San Jorge Rodriguez.

At the meeting, President Ivanov expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Ambassador Rodriguez and his efforts to promote the bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Cuba.

At the meeting, President Ivanov pointed out the interest of the Republic of Macedonia in developing the bilateral relations with the Republic of Cuba and raising them to a higher level and stressed that the Republic of Macedonia attaches importance to the cooperation with the countries of Central and South America, both on a bilateral and on a multilateral level.

The two interlocutors agreed on the need to explore the opportunities for cooperation in the areas of common interest, including education, culture, health, pharmaceutical industry and other areas.

Expressing gratitude for his engagement and cooperation, President Ivanov wished Ambassador Rodriguez success in his future work.
