The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a congratulation message to H.E. Mr. Vladimir Putin, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Russian Federation.

Distinguished Mr. President,

On the occasion of your re-election to the office of the President of the Russian Federation, allow me, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and on my personal behalf, to convey the most sincere congratulations and wish you much success in the execution of the important and responsible duties deriving from this position.

I use this solemn opportunity, once again, to express my satisfaction with the so far successful development of bilateral relations and the cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Russian Federation for which you have undoubted merit. The spiritual and cultural tradition among our peoples is a good potential for cooperation that has become a reality thanks to the long-standing commitment and dedication of the authorities of both countries.

I am convinced that the relations will continue to develop in the future in the spirit of the established friendship, mutual understanding and mutual respect. I believe that by mutual commitments, in the coming period, the overall cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Russian Federation will continue in all spheres of mutual interest, especially in the economic and energy sectors, culture and tourism.
