The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a letter of condolences to the US President Donald Trump for the victims of the school massacre in Florida.
Distinguished Mr. President,
I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of the school massacre that took place in Florida. Regardless of where we live in this world, such tragic losses of innocent young lives are yet another reminder that we have to stay together and strong in the name of humanity and do our utmost for the well-being of our children. Schools are a place where, free from fear, young people can develop love for life, freedom of thought and solidarity towards society. There must be no place for violence in schools.
Once again, on behalf of the people of the Republic of Macedonia and on my personal behalf, I would like to extend our sincere and deep condolences. Our hearts and our prayers go out to the families who lost their loved ones.
Please convey, Mr. President, the expressions of our sincere condolences to the families of the ones who lost their lives.
Dr. Gjorge Ivanov
