The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a congratulation note to Mr. Milos Zeman on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Czech Republic.

Distinguished Mr. President,

On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and in my personal behalf, it is with great pleasure that I wish to extend my sincere congratulations on the occasion of your re-election as President of the Czech Republic.  I wish you every success in the continuation of the performance of your highly responsible duties at this position.

I am convinced that during your second term of office as President, the friendly relations and cooperation between Macedonia and the Czech Republic will continue to develop successfully in the spirit of our joint commitments to a stable, united and prosperous Europe.

Distinguished Mr. President, I have always deeply appreciated the numerous meetings and discussions with you regarding all areas of common interest.  I avail myself of this opportunity to express my personal, as well as the readiness of the Republic of Macedonia, to continue our constructive dialogue in order to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of security and economy.  The Republic of Macedonia is firmly determined to continue on its path to full integration in the European Union and NATO, and we expect the help of the Czech Republic on that path, especially in the appropriate valuation of our progress and contribution towards shared values, for which I also wish to express our enormous gratitude.
