The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, is participating in the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations in New York.

President Ivanov attended the high-level meeting - Global Call for Action on the World Drug Problem, chaired by the US President, Donald Trump, and the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres.

The Macedonian President attended the opening ceremony of the Nelson Mandela Peace Summit 2018, held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the former South African leader.

Late in the evening local Macedonian time, President Ivanov attended the official reception organized by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, for the participants of the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations.

President Ivanov is scheduled to address the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 27th. President Ivanov is also scheduled to meet with the UN Secretary-General, Mr. Antonio Guterres, as well as to hold several bilateral meetings with heads of state and government, participants in the General Assembly.
