The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, hosted an Iftar dinner on the occasion of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.

President Ivanov congratulated the Ramadan fasting and the holy month of Ramadan to the guests and all members of the Islamic faith who nurture the values that bring people together and connect.

"These are the days when honor and attention should be paid, when the customs of our specific Macedonian culture of tradition and coexistence should be nurtured", President Ivanov said in his address.

The Macedonian President stressed that fasting is not just a denial of food, but it is also a moment of respect for the religion, family, neighbors, and wished the attendees plenty of joy, health, happiness and prosperity.

"May you convey all the messages of love, solidarity and respect to your families and loved ones! May we respect each other because respect is the spring of everything that keeps us together", President Ivanov said.

The Iftar dinner was attended by representatives of public life, diplomats, businessmen, as well as representatives of civil associations and organizations from the Republic of Macedonia.
