The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received today Ms. Anita Angelovska-Bezoska, Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, and Mr. Dimitar Bogov, former Governor of the NBRM.

President Ivanov congratulated Ms. Angelovska-Bezoska on her appointment as Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, wishing her professional success.

"The conduct of the monetary policy and the overall central banking operations in our country is continuously positively evaluated in the reports of the European Commission on the progress of Macedonia. Having in mind your professional CV and past work experience, I am sure that the continuity of the positive work and the successful conduct of the monetary policy of the Republic of Macedonia will continue", President Ivanov said at the meeting.

On this occasion, President Ivanov thanked Mr. Bogov for the successful conduct of the NBRM in the past seven years, assessing that with his engagement, he made a significant contribution to the fulfillment of the foreseen goals and tasks of the National Bank.

"With your work, you have made a significant contribution to the conduct of monetary policy, the achievement and maintenance of price stability, in maintaining a stable, competitive and market-oriented financial system and supporting the general economic policy, in accordance with the principle of an open market economy. I believe that with your professional experience you will continue to make further significant contribution to the interest of the Republic of Macedonia", President Ivanov said at the meeting.

The Governor Angelovska-Bezoska thanked President Ivanov for the confidence given and expressed the expectation that after taking over the office of Mr. Bogov will promote the continuity of successful management and functioning of the National Bank.

At the meeting, Mr. Bogov thanked President Ivanov for the trust, support and successful cooperation over the past seven years.
