President Ivanov receives award-winning students from “Lazo Trpovski” primary school in an air and space traffic competition in Berlin

ucenici_natprevar_1The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, and his wife, Ms. Maja Ivanova, received today the fourth-grade students from "Lazo Trpovski" primary school from Skopje, who were awarded at the traditional international school competition for air and space traffic 2018 held in Berlin, Germany.

Congratulating them for the won prize for the seventh place in the competition from among 150 participants, President Ivanov wished the young people a lot more team achievements in the future. "All of you who win prizes deserve honor and attention", the Macedonian President said.

The students thanked for the reception and emphasized that they have participated in this international competition several times with three placements in the final, and two years ago they won the tenth place in the same competition.

The project for which the Macedonian students were awarded at the international competition in Berlin is production of an authentic model of a cargo plane from the Airbus fleet: Airbus Beluga, in size 1: 200. The competition is organized by the Federal German Association for Aerospace and Space Industry in Berlin in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany, Lufthansa Technik AD and the EADS concern (which includes the famous manufacturer of Airbus passenger aircrafts).

The award and the certificates were awarded to the students by the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Goran Jandreoski.
