Today, in the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, a ceremony was held on the occasion of the appointment of Metodi Hadzi-Janev as an Adjutant to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Macedonia and his promotion to the rank of Brigadier General.
Metodi Hadzi-Janev assumed the duty of the Adjutant from the position of Defense Attaché of the Republic of Macedonia in Washington, the United States of America.
Brigadier General Metodi Hadzi-Janev is an officer with a rich military, diplomatic and academic experience. He is a PhD in International Law and International Relations at the Faculty of Law in Skopje, and has a Masters degree in military studies in the United States. Metodi Hadzi-Janev graduated from the Military Academy "General Mihajlo Apostolski" in Skopje and the US Airborne College. Metodi Hadzi-Janev is a member of the special units of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia for almost 12 years and is the first commander of the Macedonian Special Forces in Iraq. Hadzi-Janev was appointed non-resident military adviser at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Macedonia to the United Nations in New York in 2015. Since 2017, Hadzi-Janev is an associate professor at the Arizona State University in the United States and was a professor at the Military Academy "Mihajlo Apostolski" in Skopje. He is author and co-author of several books and papers in the field of cyber security and defense and has attended extensive international trainings in the fight against terrorism. He is the Vice President of the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia, an official disseminator of the international humanitarian law of the Red Cross of the Republic of Macedonia and a member of the expert and advisory team of the Center for Crisis and Homeland Security at the Arizona State University in the United States.
