Distinguished Attendees, Ladies and Gentlemen,
The world we live in is facing many challenges. One of them is how to achieve further intensive economic development and job creation. In this regard, we want the Republic of Macedonia to be a country that respects economic freedoms, free and open market, labor and hard work. A country and a society whose citizens live of their labor, who invest, employ people, work for the promotion of their position, a country in which everyone is free to work and prosper.
Our vision is to help people to improve and make use of their potential, to produce quality products and to offer quality services not only for the local but also for the European and for the global market. To reach these values, which are the foundation of prosperity of any nation, it is necessary to develop an entrepreneurial spirit.
In order to achieve this shared vision, we have developed the Strategy for Entrepreneurial Learning in the Republic of Macedonia for the period 2014 - 2020. In this, however, we were guided by the belief that the entrepreneurial learning is the cornerstone for sustainable economic growth, development and conquering new markets, new economic opportunities and new jobs.
An undisputed fact is that there is no more cost-effective medium and long-term investment than the entrepreneurial learning. Developing entrepreneurial spirit among young people, we are creating an engine that in the future will move the Macedonian economy forward to the European and global market.
Esteemed Excellencies,
This Strategy would not have been possible without the dedicated work of many experts from Macedonia and abroad, who have teamed up with relevant government and scientific institutions and foreign partners.
I congratulate all involved for their devoted work and thank them for the document drafted. As President of the Republic of Macedonia, I am proud that my Cabinet was also actively involved in this project.
In drafting the Strategy, we looked up to the more experienced than us. We were surprised that many better developed and economically more powerful European countries have no strategies for entrepreneurial learning. I believe that the Republic of Macedonia timely started to walk on the right path that will undoubtedly bring benefits to our economy and to the society as a whole.
Now that we have the Strategy, the most important segment is the one that follows, which is its implementation. With maximum commitment of the inter-ministerial group for entrepreneurial learning, and of all concerned institutions as well, the goals of the Strategy will be consistently met.
I believe that we all can help the process of implementation. The least we can do is to raise the awareness about the importance and significance of the entrepreneurial learning in our whole society. This will help create the conditions for implementation of the Strategy. Dear Friends,
For the entrepreneurial learning, not only the formal but also the informal education and the business community are important. All stakeholders in this venture should therefore duly contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial learning. In this, every citizen should recognize the possibility of acquiring knowledge suitable to develop his entrepreneurial skills and to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit.
Through knowledge, skills and abilities, citizens should gain everything that characterizes a successful entrepreneur. To gain entrepreneurial mentality, which is a prerequisite for success.
Thank you.
