The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Poland, sent a congratulation message to the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski. Distinguished Mr. President, On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Poland, it gives me great honor and pleasure, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and on my personal behalf, to extend cordial congratulations and sincere wishes for further prosperity and welfare of your country and the friendly Polish people. Expressing satisfaction with the current development of relations and cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Poland, I am convinced that we will be able to further promote and intensify our ties with joint commitment, in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding, with an increased dynamics in all spheres of mutual interest. Allow me to use this solemn occasion to express my gratitude for the support of the Republic of Poland in the implementation of the strategic goals. Considering our shared efforts for a united, stable and prosperous Europe, I am confident that the support will not be left out, especially in this crucial period, when the Republic of Poland has the presidency of the European Union. I believe that the Republic of Poland will help at the upcoming European Council, the Republic of Macedonia to be enabled to proceed to the next phase of integration – setting of a date and start of accession negotiations.
