President Ivanov receives credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro

The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received today the Letters of Credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Mr. Predrag Mitrovic.
At the meeting, President Ivanov expressed satisfaction with the sincere friendship that has characterized the relations between the Republic of Macedonia and Montenegro, which represent a positive example in the region, as well as with the continuous open dialogue and fruitful cooperation in all areas of common interest.
"Membership in NATO and the EU, regional cooperation for stability and prosperity of our region, are areas in which we mark fruitful cooperation," President Ivanov said in his speech, and said he expects further intensification and improvement of the economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Montenegrin Ambassador Mr. Mitrovic noted that the relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia are close, traditionally good, without open issues, and added that he would do his utmost to further and strengthen the political and economic relations.
"Our two countries do not only share the same geographical area, but also the same foreign policy goals relating to the strengthening of the regional cooperation and the European and Euro-Atlantic integrations," Ambassador Mitrovic said.
President Ivanov, congratulating him his mandate as the newly appointed Ambassador, wished him success in the execution of the responsible diplomatic duty.
