The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a congratulation message to H.E. Mr. Giorgio Napolitano on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Italian Republic.


Distinguished Mr. President,

It gives me honor and pleasure to extend my cordial congratulations on the occasion of your re-election as President of the Italian Republic, with sincere wishes for further success in the execution of this responsible mission.

I use this solemn opportunity to reaffirm my and the Republic of Macedonia's strong commitment to further strengthen and deepen the friendly relations and cooperation with the Italian Republic. I strongly believe that in the period ahead, with joint efforts and commitment, as before, the relations between our countries will be further developed and built in the spirit of mutual commitment to a democratic, stable, united and prosperous Europe.

I am convinced that the Italian Republic, proven friend of the Republic of Macedonia will continue to support the process of its integration into the EU and NATO.
