The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a congratulation message to the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar:

It is my honor and pleasure, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and on my personal behalf, to congratulate you the National Day and to extend my most sincere wishes for development and prosperity of your country and welfare of its people.

In this solemn occasion, allow me, Your Highness, to express my satisfaction with the upward trend in the relations between our two friendly countries. I am convinced that the intensive cooperation between the two countries will contribute to new projects for closer cooperation in all fields of common interest, particularly in the field of economy. It is in this context that I see my forthcoming official visit to the State of Qatar.
