The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a letter of congratulations to the Hungarian President-Elect, Janos Ader:
Distinguished Mr. President, It gives me distinct honor and pleasure to convey my most heartfelt congratulations on your election as President of Hungary. I avail myself of this solemn occasion to extend sincere wishes for successful execution of this high and responsible office, good health and personal happiness.
Taking this solemn opportunity, I would like to express my satisfaction with the high level of traditionally friendly relations between the Republic of Macedonia and Hungary and to convey my conviction that, with our joint efforts, we will be able to contribute to further promotion of the relations in all areas of mutual interest. I believe that in the coming period I will have the opportunity to welcome you in the Republic of Macedonia and thus we will give a strong impulse for further deepening of the established cooperation. Be assured that we consider friendly Hungary as a sincere partner in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integrations.
I want to assure you Mr. President that the Macedonian citizens remain committed to attaining the centuries-old dream of European and Euro-Atlantic Macedonia. Having this in mind, I would like to express my gratitude for your country’s support to the Republic of Macedonia in this regard and to express my strong conviction and expectation that it will continue in the period to come, particularly before and during the NATO Summit in Chicago, and the upcoming European Council meetings.
With such a conviction and with most sincere wishes for furute professional successes, good health and personal happiness, I convey to you the assurances of my highest consideration.
