Statement by the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, on the occasion of the murder of five people near the village Smiljkovci.

I deeply sympathize with the families of the tragically deceased persons. I strongly condemn this heinous and murderous act.

I urge and expect the competent institutions to disclose this case, and I also appeal for restraint by all. In these moments of deep sorrow, we least need any kind of abuse of this tragic event. I urge for prudence and responsibility.
