The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov sent a congratulation message to the Bishop of Skopje and Apostolic Exarch Kiro Stojanov, and to all Christian believers who celebrate Easter according the Gregorian calendar:

Dear All,
It is a great pleasure and honor to all Christian believers who respect the Gregorian calendar, to congratulate the great Christian holiday, the holiest holiday of all holidays – Christ’s resurrection - Easter.

On the eve of the holiday of light, we have the opportunity to reaffirm our shared commitments to nurturing and respect for religious diversity and religious specificities as pivotal values of our society and of the whole civilized world.

Easter is also an indicator that inspired by the example of Christ, we can overcome all Golgotha and challenges. In times of swiftly changing values and fleeting pleasures, let us not forget to follow the path of light and goodness, and not to spare to give ourselves to others, fostering love for our fellow citizens and working for the prosperity of our homeland.

May you all spend Easter in peace, good health, happiness and prosperity, sharing unconditional love with your loved ones.
