President Ivanov Meets the Prince of Liechtenstein Hans Adam II in Frames of the Visit to Bavaria

The Head of State met yesterday with the Prince of Liechtenstein, Hans Adam II, with whom he exchanged opinions and proposals of possible economic cooperation and promotion of contacts. President briefed Prince on the Republic of Macedonia’s efforts to create favorable environment for foreign investors, expressing hope that Liechtenstein companies will recognize that potential and develop interest to invest in Macedonia.

President Ivanov, informing his interlocutor on Macedonia's EU and NATO integration efforts and on the progress made in terms of the reforms, expressed his willingness to deepen the overall relations between the two countries and to intensify the political dialogue at the highest level. In this context, President Ivanov invited Prince Hans Adam II to visit the Republic of Macedonia.

”Your principle of coexistence and tolerance is a huge success, but for a country to be a real success it is necessary to invest in education, to introduce and maintain low taxes, and the rule of law”, said Prince Hans Adam II.

Today's meetings of the President with the members of the European Parliament were aimed at getting acquainted with the latest election developments, name issue, Macedonia’s perspectives, as well as continuation of the support for the Republic of Macedonia.
 
President Ivanov, during the visit, gave an interview to the newspaper Die Tagespost, focusing on the upcoming celebration of the Slavic educators Cyril and Methodius in Vatican and their priceless legacy, promotion of the inter- ethnic dialogue in Macedonia, strengthening of multiculturalism and equitable representation.

President Gjorge Ivanov is to address today the Pan-European Union Summit (PEU) which is held in the German town Lindau in Bavaria. There will be several panels for discussion for the conference participants.

Other key speakers include the President of the International Pan-European Union Alain Terrenoire, the Presidents of Germany's PEU - Bernd Posselt - and Switzerland's PEU, André Poulin, the Vice President of the European Parliament Libor Roucek, the EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger, the Prince of Liechtenstein Hans Adam II.

”This is an excellent opportunity to make contacts with members of the Pan-European Union who are indeed great friends of Macedonia and always strive to tell the truth about Macedonia. These meetings were also an opportunity to inform them on the latest developments in Macedonia”, President Ivanov said today in Lindau.

The Pan-European Union is the oldest all-European organization. It was established in 1923 as a movement promoting the idea of a great and united Europe, for unity, peace and progress. Macedonia is a member of the PEU since 1993 under its constitutional name.

The incumbent International PEU President, Alain Terrenoire, was presented last month at the international PEU conference in Dojran with the Boris Trajkovski award by President Ivanov for his achievements and efforts to the idea of a united Europe.
