The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, on the occasion of the Day of Independence of the Republic of Albania sent a congratulation letter to the President of the Republic of Albania, Dr. Bamir Topi.

Respected Mr. President,

Allow me, on the occasion of the Day of Independence of the Republic of Albania, on my personal behalf and on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, to convey to you most cordial regards and most sincere wishes for further prosperity and well-being of your country and its citizens.

I avail myself of this opportunity to extend my satisfaction with the current, very successful development of the relations and cooperation between our two countries. The Republic of Macedonia and I personally are fully committed to strengthening and deepening of the dialogue, good-neighbourly relations and mutual cooperation with a purpose of achieving our joint efforts for stable and prosperous region and for its Euro-Atlantic prospects. In this regard, I would like to stress the interests as well as the readiness of the Republic of Macedonia for further improvement of the overall relations and cooperation, with special focus to the sphere of economy and infrastructure.
