In the wake of the great Christian holiday Christmas, second grade students from the state music and ballet school "llija Nikolovski-Luj" visited today the residence of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov.
Young ballet dancers sung the Christmas carol, performed a special program for President Ivanov, his wife Ms. Maja Ivanova and son Ivan, and were treated with Christmas presents. Ms. Maja Ivanova stressed that they continue the tradition in their home and as in any Orthodox family, to have their home open for the children who announce the birth of Christ.
"Today our guests are students of the ballet section within the state music and ballet school in Skopje. With a smile on their faces, with their choreography and costumes, they brought joy, happiness and beauty in our home in the wake of the great Christian holiday - Christmas. May all Orthodox Christians have the most beautiful Christmas Eve. Let the light of Christ bring joy, beauty and immense happiness in their homes. May they have positive thoughts and happy moments", Ms. Ivanova said congratulating Christmas to all who celebrate it.
The Ivanov family will follow the tradition this Christmas Eve and divide bread with a coin. Ms. Maja Ivanova said that last year the coin went to the house and brought happiness to all, and added that she is indeed most satisfied with the success of their son Ivan, who graduated last year and enrolled at postgraduate studies.
The tradition of having visitors on the day before Christmas in the residence of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, was established in 2011.
