The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, today paid a working visit to the Municipality Kocani and met Mayor Ratko Dimitrovski, who briefed him on the implementation of the ongoing projects in the municipality.

President Ivanov visited the local primary school “Rade Kratovce” in the village Nivichani, Kochani, which was recently renovated, where 36 pupils attend the classes in the current school year. He also attended the ceremony of donating 1000 books to the school library by Mayor Ratko Dimitrovski.

The Macedonian President visited the monastery “St. Panteleimon” in the village Pantelej, built in 1871, having a rich collection of icons and frescoes painted by the artist Dimitrija Andonov Papradiski.

During the visit of Kocani, President Ivanov delivered a lecture to the students at the Faculty of Law in this town, and afterwards, in the Library "Iskra" he visited the exhibition "The old buildings in Kocani recollect the past”, organized within the manifestation" Days of Kocani rice 2010”.
