Telephone conversation of President Ivanov with Croatian President, Ivo Josipovic, and member of the Bosnian Presidency, Zeljko Komsic

PRMportretThe President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, had today a telephone conversations with the President of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Ivo Josipovic, and with the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Zeljko Komsic, in which he expressed his regret for the lives lost and injured in the storm and floods that have hit both countries.

In the telephone conversations, President Ivanov stressed the readiness of the Republic of Macedonia to offer assistance and make available its resources to deal with the aftermath of the storm. The member of the Bosnian Presidency, Mr. Komsic indicated in the telephone conversation the urgent need for assistance in medicines and sanitary equipment.

They both agreed that it is necessary to strengthen regional cooperation and apply coordinated action in dealing with the increasing natural disasters and catastrophes to prevent and mitigate their consequences.
