Newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria Rakovski Simeonov Lashev presents the credentials

The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov today received the credentials of the newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rakovski Simeonov Lashev. At the official ceremony of presenting the credentials, President Ivanov welcomed Ambassador Lashev to Macedonia. The President expressed his hope that Ambassador Lashev will provide a strong contribution to further promotion of the relations of the two countries.
According to President Ivanov, the relations between the two countries are excellent and there are great opportunities to improve cooperation. The President assessed that both countries share common values, strategic objectives and are committed to cooperation in the interest of both states, as well as in the interest of the development of the region.
Ambassador Lashev said that he will not spare his capacity to work on strengthening of the relations and cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria. The Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the upward development of the bilateral cooperation especially in the field of trade and energy. According to Ambassador Lashev, one field the inter-state cooperation must concentrate on is the joint infrastructure projects linking the two countries.
