The President of the United States of America Barack Obama sent a letter to the President of the Republic of Macedonia d-r Gjorge Ivanov, in order to express his gratitude for the congratulations Macedonia sent on the occasion of the 4th of July, the Independence Day of the United States. The text of the letter follows -
Dear Mr. President:
As the American people celebrate the 234th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States, I wish to thank you for your kind message of congratulations and well wishes.
The ideals upon which America was built-  democracy, freedom and dignity - remain every bit as relevant today as they were in 1776. It is my hope that these ideals will one day be enjoyed and celebrated by all peoples around the world.
Sincerely
Barack Obama
