The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, at the beginning of the next year, will bestow the title the "Best Young Scientist" for the fourth time.
The public announcement for the title the "Best Young Scientist" for 2013 is open till December 31, 2013, for all young people up to 30 years of age, who have achieved in their previous scientific work results that contribute to the positive development of the society and the environment in which they live and work.
Eligible are all those who have international awards, international or national scientific research recognition, applicable and published results of their scientific research in relevant domestic and international journals.
The "Best Young Scientist" project, initiated by the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, aims to encourage development and stimulate investment in science, as well as to support scientific institutions and young scientists, and to award the best scientific achievements.
"Through this project, a tradition of awarding the best young scientist of the year is established, as an incentive for the young scientific and research thought in the Republic of Macedonia. This recognition is a valorization of President Ivanov's commitment to support science, scientific institutions, young scientists, and to find ways to stimulate investment in science", Prof. Dr. Atanas Kochov, President of the Commission on awarding the title the "Best Young Scientist", said.
The recognition the "Best Young Scientist" was first awarded by President Ivanov in 2010, to Nikola Zlatanov, MA, PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia, Canada.
In 2011, the recognition was awarded to Dr. Trifche Sandev, who has studies at the Institute of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics - Skopje, and defended his doctoral thesis thereof.
The 2012 Best Young Scientist recogniton was awarded to Dr. Katerina Baceva, who has studied at the Institute of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
The application includes a CV, projects implemented in 2013 and Republic of Macedonia citizenship proof.
The documents of the interested candidates should be submitted to the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Macedonia by 31.12.2013.

The recognition the "Best Young Scientist" is awarded by the President of the Republic of Macedonia as an incentive for the young scientific and research thought in the Republic of Macedonia.
The public announcement is open to all individuals who, in the course of the current year, have turned up to 30 years of age, , who have achieved in their previous scientific work results that contribute to the positive development of the society and the environment in which they live and work.
Requirements:
• received international award for their scientific research activity; • received international recognition for their scientific research; • received national award for their scientific research activity; • received national recognition for their scientific research activit0079; • published results of their scientific research in a relevant international journal; • published results of their scientific research in a relevant national journal; • applicability of scientific research results.
Proof for meeting one or more of the requirements:
• CV, • projects implemented in the course of 2011, qualified for the application; • citizenship of the Republic of Macedonia.
Required documents should be submitted in one print and one electronic version (CD).
All citizens of Republic of Macedonia who meet the requirements are eligible.
