The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, met today with Mr. Vadim Vorobyov, Vice President of the oil company Lukoil, who participated in the 7th session of the Joint Committee on Economic and Trade Cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Russian Federation.

At the meeting, President Ivanov expressed gratitude for the dedicated work of the company and for expanding the business in the Republic of Macedonia.

"The reforms implemented by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to attract foreign investment, the incentives and benefits for foreign investors, as well as the presence of Lukoil in the Republic of Macedonia is a good promotion for attracting other Russian long-term investment in our country", President Ivanov said.

Mr. Vorobyov informed President Ivanov on the company's business plans, namely on the decision to further advance and expand Lukoil in the Republic of Macedonia in the upcoming period. The visit and participation in the work of the 7th session of the Joint Committee and the meetings with government officials will also be used to explore the possibilities for investments in the energy sector. The Vice President of Lukoil stressed the readiness for future cooperation with the Republic of Macedonia.
