The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, today attended the opening of the exhibition "Audio-technica - Profession, Passion and Art" held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje. 25 exhibits were presented - radio receivers, speakers, audio amplifiers, six of which are owned by President Ivanov as a great audiophile, passionate emitter, electronic engineer and inventor.

The exhibition, aimed at popularization of audio-technique in the Republic of Macedonia, presented many exhibits characterized by different audio, art and rare value, demonstrating the development of audio-technique in the past and today.

"This year we have introduced a new study program in the field of multimedia technologies, which, among the other things, focuses on the issues of audio-techniques", the Dean of the Faculty, Professor. Dr. Mile Stankovksi, said.

The Institute of Electronics within the FEEIT, nurturing the items since the sixties of the last century, covers the basics of the structure of almost all audio-technique devices - the era of electronic tubes, through the era of bipolar transistors, to digital audio-systems.

Of utmost importance for audio-technique is nurturing the area of electro-acoustics, which, besides studying the physics of sound and acoustics of the premises, also deals with sound carriers and electro-acoustic converters -microphones and speakers. In today's "digital information era", the young engineering staff of the Faculty obtains the contemporary audio-technique knowledge base through the field of digital audio-systems.

The students of the FEEIT heard President Ivanov's lecture on "Perfect Sound Quest", and, among the other things, he presented the way how he personally produces audio amplifiers, which is his hobby.
