The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, accompanied by his wife, Ms. Maja Ivanova, attended this morning the Holy Liturgy in the Cathedral "St. Clement of Ohrid" in Skopje, on the occasion of Christ's Resurrection - Easter.

"Christ is Risen, indeed He is Risen. Many happy returns! I wish all the best, good health, joy and happiness to all Christians who celebrate this great holiday today", President Ivanov said after the liturgy.

As we are united these days, President Ivanov stressed, we must be united, all those who live in the state, for prosperity and success.

We need to dedicate ourselves to our families, especially to our children. To give them lots of love, lots of joy and much hope. When we are united we can overcome all the challenges we face for the sake of all of us living in the Republic of Macedonia, President Ivanov said.

After the Holy Liturgy, President Ivanov was received by the Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church - the Ohrid Archbishopric, H.H. Stephen.

On Easter Eve, President Ivanov, accompanied by his wife Maja and his son Ivan attended the Holy Liturgy risen in the monastery "St. John the Baptist".
