Readiness for dialogue with Greece emphasized - Farewell meeting with the Greek Ambassador, Alexandra Papadopoulou

The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, had a farewell meeting today with the Head of the Liaison Office of the Hellenic Republic in the Republic of Macedonia, Ambassador Alexandra Papadopoulou.
At the meeting, President Ivanov stressed the readiness of the Republic of Macedonia to intensify overall cooperation and dialogue with Greece.
“The Republic of Macedonia is open to all its neighbors and that openness is manifested in the readiness, through dialogue, to reach solutions for all differences. Greater interaction and cooperation will result in an environment for resolving differences”, President Ivanov said at the meeting. At the same time, the Macedonian President expressed hope that Greece will support the European integration of the Republic of Macedonia. If the process of integration into the European Union is unblocked, it will be in everyone’s favor - in favor of the Republic of Macedonia, Greece and the entire region”, President Ivanov added.
Common conclusion of the meeting was that the difference over the name should not be an obstacle to cooperation in all fields of mutual interest.
At the farewell meeting, President Ivanov wished further success to Ambassador Papadopoulou.
