The spouse of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Ms. Maja Ivanova, as part of the campaign "Healthy Food for Faultless Childhood", visited today the factory "Zito Oriz" in Kocani, where children from four local primary schools were informed about the process of processing rice and tasted food made of rice.

"I am glad that this idea grew into a mass action, not only by organizing such events, but it receives support of all those that really need to support it, namely the institutions, kindergartens, schools. Today we are here at the rice processing factory, where children were informed about the importance of this grain that feeds half of the world's population. I am also glad that they could see the process of obtaining the final product. The campaign is for the future generations. We need to have a healthy youth, healthy children, because healthy future is provided by healthy offspring", Ms. Ivanova said.

The campaign "Healthy Food for Faultless Childhood", whose patron is Ms. Maja Ivanova, is being implemented for already three school year in kindergartens and schools, as part of the program "Integration of Environmental Education in the Macedonian Educational System", in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Association "OHO". Today's event in Kocani was held within the event "Days of Kocani Rice". The campaign "Healthy Food for Faultless Childhood" is dedicated to healthy food and aims to raise awareness of healthy food consumption among children and pupils. This campaign is educational, informative and, above all, entertaining by presenting positive aspects of healthy nutrition, ways of preparing food, as well as the process of acquiring positive habits to eat healthy food, primarily in kindergartens and schools.
