Ms. Ivanova in support of the event “Healthy Food for Faultless Childhood” in Bitola

The primary school students and children from the kindergartens in Bitola today organized the event “Healthy Food for Faultless Childhood”, a campaign implemented under the auspices of Ms. Maja Ivanova, wife of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, in the municipalities throughout the state.

There were various home-made products, fruits and vegetables designs exhibited at the numerous counters in front of the Cultural Centre, but also children’s works and messages about healthy food and proper nutrition.

“This campaign receives greater support and, besides children, their parents, teachers and professors are involved, that is all involved entities in creating a healthy young person. We should be happy that we are a country that abounds in fertile soil, wholesome water, sunny days, and if we eat healthy food we will lead a healthy live and we will create generations that are the future of our country”, Ms. Ivanova said during today’s visit to Bitola.

The Caravan “Fruit and Vegetable Days” will pass through the entire Macedonia, and is organized by the Citizens’ Association “OHO” in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and the municipalities hosting the events.

Bitola Mayor Vladimir Taleski noted that he fully supports this initiative and he will make efforts for greater involvement of children, students, professors from Bitola, which will contribute to healthy lifestyle.

The municipal program for the event “Healthy Food for Faultless Childhood” was prepared by the students and teachers from the primary school “Dr. Trifun Panovski” – Bitola, who performed recitals, songs and performances as well as other school and creative topics.
