The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, one of the main supporters of the manifestation “Site of the Year”, electing the best Macedonian websites for 2011, sent the following letter to the organizers and winners:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Internet technology and webpages are the window of the time we live in, allowing us the fastest and most effective way of communication, transmission and presentation of information and content. I am pleased that the Republic of Macedonia has never lagged behind the global trends and innovations in the field of web-technology, and that the Macedonian sites, according to their quality, design and functionality, are among the best. This is confirmed by the strong competition of web pages that were part of this year’s shortlist for the award “Best Site on the Year”.

I would like to convey my cordial regards to the organizers for this initiative and for the organization of this event. I hope that this contest will be an incentive more for many institutions, organizations, companies, groups and individuals, to more actively use the advantages provided by information technologies and to further compete through innovation and creativity of their web solutions.

I would also like to extend my most heartfelt congratulations to this year’s winners in all categories and wish them successful work in future.
