The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, received today at a farewell meeting the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Mr. Yuri Goncharuk.

At the meeting, they exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as on the opportunities for their advancement in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the field of economy, culture, education and science, health.

Hence, President Ivanov stressed the interest and readiness of the Republic of Macedonia to intensify and improve the overall relations with Ukraine.

The meeting also discussed the current situation in both countries; the developments at regional and global level, as well as the key challenges the countries face in overcoming the current situations.

Ambassador Goncharuk thanked for the hospitality during his term, expressing satisfaction with the performance of his diplomatic duties in the Republic of Macedonia.

President Ivanov expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with Ambassador Goncharuk and wished him success in his future career.
