The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a congratulation note to the President-Elect of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Igor Dodon, after his victory in the presidential elections.

Dear Mr. Dodon,

I have the honor and pleasure, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and on my personal behalf, to extend my most sincere congratulations on your election as President of the Republic of Moldova, and to express my sincere wishes for success in carrying out this responsible office.

I am deeply convinced that during your term, through joint efforts, we will give personal contribution to the comprehensive improvement of the relations between our two countries, both bilaterally and within international organizations. I believe that my visit to Moldova, which is planned for 2017, will be an important opportunity to enrich the overall cooperation.
