Meeting with retired generals in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia

 The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov had a meeting today with the retired generals in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia. The meeting was an opportunity for an open exchange of views on the current state of play in the Macedonian Army, as well as on the development and reform processes in the army. The President and Supreme Commander of the Army, at the meeting assessed that the Army of the Republic of Macedonia successfully meets the reform priorities in establishing a modern and professional army. President Ivanov considers that further reforms within the Army should aim at addressing new types of challenges and threats to security. At the meeting, the retired generals in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia stated their views and opinions on the situation and reforms in the Army. President Ivanov at the meeting noted that further development and improvement of the Army is a priority for the Republic of Macedonia.
