President Ivanov receives credentials of the newly appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of Malaysia

malezija1The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, today, in Villa Biljana in Ohrid, received the Letters of Credence by H.E. Mr. Mohamad Sadik Kethergany, newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Malaysia to the Republic of Macedonia, resident in Budapest.
Wishing Ambassador Kethergany welcome to the Republic of Macedonia, President Ivanov said that there is great potential for development and promotion of the relations between the two countries.

"Your appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Malaysia to the Republic of Macedonia is another confirmation of the successful and friendly relations between the two countries. In this context, let me emphasize that the Republic of Macedonia pays special attention to the development and promotion of the overall relations with friendly Malaysia, bilaterally and multilaterally. Special emphasis in the future should indeed be put on the economic cooperation", President Ivanov said.

Ambassador Kethergany noted that Malaysia attaches great importance to bilateral relations with the Republic of Macedonia, assessing them as cordial. He also referred to the multilateral, cultural and economic cooperation.

"The trade between the two countries is encouraging. But much more can be done to further improve the bilateral economic and trade relations in the mutual interest of both countries. To this end, we encourage businessmen of both countries to explore the potential that exists in both countries", Ambassador Kethergany said.

President Ivanov wished Ambassador Kethergany successful performance of this highly esteemed and responsible office.
