The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, on the occasion of November 22, Day of the Albanian Alphabet, sent a congratulation message to the members of the Albanian ethnic community in the Republic of Macedonia.
Dear Fellow Citizens,
Celebrating the Day of the Albanian Alphabet in the Republic of Macedonia, we reaffirm our commitment to the nurturing of our multiethnic society and respect for ethnic and cultural diversity.
The celebration of November 22 means fostering of the cultural values and specificities of the Albanian ethnic community in the Republic of Macedonia. Respecting, strengthening and promoting our mutual relations, we contribute to the building of our coexistence.
The wealth of one nation is based on respect for the tradition, the linguistic and cultural heritage that is the core that contains the past, the present and the future. Recognizing the differences, we are building confidence and understanding in a society in which there should be no bias for ethnic, national and religious differences.
Dear All,
I avail myself of this opportunity to congratulate the Day of the Albanian alphabet to the members of the Albanian ethnic community in the Republic of Macedonia, and to send a message to all citizens in the country, regardless of their religion and ethnicity, that if we respect each other, if we truly cherish the differences between us, we will be able to contribute to the progress and development of the prosperous Republic of Macedonia.
Dr. Gjorge Ivanov
