The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, sent a congratulation message to Ms. Berta Romano Nikolic, Head of the Jewish community in the Republic of Macedonia, and to the members of the Jewish community in the Republic of Macedonia.

It is my honor and pleasure to extend my sincere congratulations to you and to all members of the Jewish community in the Republic of Macedonia on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah.

Celebrating the Jewish New Year in the coming days, I wish you a year of happiness, prosperity and mutual respect. Respecting cultural and religious differences, we further build our country jointly.

Celebrating the year that follows, according to the Jewish tradition, we celebrate truth and good deeds; therefore, may we all together celebrate the positive values that make us closer and connect us. I believe that in the future, as before, the members of the Jewish community will provide an active contribution to the progress of our country.
