The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, sent a congratulation message to His Majesty Willem-Alexander on the occasion of his swearing-in as the King of Netherlands.

Your Majesty,

It gives me great honor and special pleasure, on the occasion of your swearing-in as the King of the Netherlands, on my personal behalf and on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, to extend cordial greetings and best wishes for your good health, personal happiness, blessed and long-lasting reign, as well as welfare and prosperity for the citizens of the Kingdom of Netherlands.

I avail myself of this solemn occasion to commend the constant progress in the development of the traditionally good relations and cooperation between our two friendly countries. In the year marking the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, let me emphasize the interest of the Republic of Macedonia to further strengthen the relations with the Kingdom of Netherlands.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your country's support to the Republic of Macedonia in the attainment of its highest strategic goals, full-fledged membership in the European Union and NATO, as well as to share my expectation that the support will continue in the future.
