Joint statement after the meeting of Presidents Ivanov and Tadic

The text of the joint release for the public by the Office of the President of the Republic of Macedonia d-r Gjorge Ivanov and the Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia d-r Boris Tadic, after their meeting today:
The meeting of the two Presidents is a continuation of the constant political dialogue on the highest level and of the personal relations by the two Presidents. A number of issues from bilateral and regional interest were opened at the meeting. Both Presidents agreed to intensify the cooperation ahead of the June Summit of the Council of the European Union. They reiterated the need for a speedy integration of the region that is a key requirement for lasting stability and peace. They express hope that European leaders, at the forthcoming Summit , will make a positive evaluation of the progress in the reform process and will enable an intensified integrative agenda for the countries of the region. At their meeting, both Presidents also exchanged their views on regional matters that are an impediment to lasting stability in the region.
