The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, on the occasion of December 21st, the Day of Education in Turkish Language, sent a congratulation note to the members of the Turkish community in the Republic of Macedonia.
On my personal behalf and on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, I would like to congratulate December 21st, the Day of Education in Turkish Language to all the members of the Turkish community.
The right to education in the mother tongue is one of the most important rights and is among the highest priorities of our country, which not only provides protection and promotion of the identity and culture of the peoples, but is also the creator of the soul of one nation. Our fellow citizens of the Turkish community, in continuity, cherish their culture, their traditions and values, feeling, at the same time, Macedonia as their real home.
Therefore, today, the Republic of Macedonia proudly celebrates the day of education in Turkish language, which is of great importance for the entire society.
As president of a country that highly appreciates the contribution of all ethnic communities to our cultural and social progress, let me express hope that the members of the Turkish community in the Republic of Macedonia in the future will further cherish the Turkish tradition and with its rich culture to contribute to the prosperous future and well-being of all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.
Dr. Gjorge Ivanov
