Претседателот на Република Македонија, д-р Ѓорге Иванов денеска ги прими акредитивните писма на новоименуваните амбасадори на Република Судан, на Социјалистичка Република Виетнам и на Република Индонезија.

На средбата со новоименуваниот амбасадор на Република Судан со седиште во Софија, Н.Е. г-ѓа Илхам Ибрахим Мохамед Ахмед, беше изразена волја за продлабочување на севкупните односи меѓу двете земји , како на билатерален така и на мултилатерален план.

"Верувам дека со Вашиот ангажман и професионално искуство, ќе придонесете кон изнаоѓање на нови форми за збогатување на билатералната соработка, која до овој период е незначителна и скромна" истакна претседателот Иванов.

На средбата со новоименуваниот амбасадор на Социјалистичка Република Виетнам со седиште во Софија, Н.Е. г-ѓа Нгујен Ти Хонг Оан, претседателот Иванов изрази задоволство од воспоставените пријателски односи и соработката меѓу двете држави во сите области од заемен интерес, за што потврда е и официјалната посета на Република Македонија на потпретседателот на Виетнам, Н.Е. г-ѓа Нгујен Ти Доан, во декември 2014 година за време на која се потпишаа и два значајни договора кои придонесоа во воспоставувањето на солидна правна рамка за соработка на двете земји.

Новоименуваниот виетнамски амбасадор, г-ѓа Оан ја потврди заложбата на Виетнам за продлабочување на соработката меѓу двете земји во областа на економијата, културата и образованието изразувајќи ја подготвеноста на нејзината земја за активна и блиска соработка и натамошно унапредување на пријателските односи.

На средбата со новиот амбасадор на Република Индонезија со седиште во Софија, Н.Е. г-ѓа Сри Астари Расџид, двајцата соговорници изразија задоволство од заемната желба за сестран развој на пријателските односи и за соработката во сите области од заемен интерес.

„Сакам да Ве уверам дека Република Македонија е подготвена за интензивирање на односите и соработката, и тоа не само на билатерален, туку и на мултилатерален план. Особено во системот на Обединетите нации и Алијансата на цивилизациите, каде нашите две држави можат да дадат голем придонес", порача претседателот Иванов.

Новоименуваниот индонезиски амбасадор, г-ѓа Расџид изрази уверување дека во блиска иднина меѓусебното разбирање и доверба ќе резултираат со разновидна соработка особено во областа на економијата, јакнењето на трговската размена и можностите за инвестиции, образованието, туризмот и културата.

Претседателот Иванов на новоименуваните амбасадори им честита за функцијата и им посака успех во вршењето на одговорната дипломатска должност.

Today, the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov had a telephone conversation with the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mrs. Angela Merkel.

The two interlocutors exchanged opinions on the latest developments and situation regarding the migrant and refugee crisis following the decision to close the Balkan corridor.

President Ivanov informed the German Chancellor about the incident that happened on March 14, 2016 at the southern border line and the attempt for entry by an uncontrolled number of migrants and foreign citizens on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia.

Both interlocutors condemned the incident, with Chancellor Merkel expressing her support for the fight against illegal migration and agreeing that migrants and refugees must leave the improvised camp in Idomeni. In that context, Merkel underlined that attempts for illegal crossing of the border must stop, same as the encouragement of illegal migration.

President Ivanov informed Chancellor Merkel that the Macedonian security forces realized a successful, timely and responsible reaction without any use of force, and asked for an urgent halt to the practice of bringing an additional number of migrants who would then set up camps on the very border line of the Republic of Macedonia.

The Macedonian President stated that the Republic of Macedonia will observe the decision on the closure of the Balkan corridor for illegal crossings, and that Macedonian law enforcement authorities will continue handling the refugee crisis in a responsible and professional manner, taking into account the responsibility for humane treatment of refugees. In this context, the Macedonian President renewed the invitation to the German Federal Border Police to be part of the EU police contingent at the southern and northern border.

President Ivanov stated that the Republic of Macedonia will continue to take all measures and activities in order to prevent eventual attempts for illegal entry.

In function of efficient handling of the threat from illegal migration, President Ivanov reaffirmed his request for stronger political support by the EU and an increased logistical support by the European Commission, as well as the requests for border protection and migrant registration equipment. At the same time, the Macedonian President underlined the need for improving mutual cooperation between intelligence services in terms of threats and risks, by granting the countries along the transit corridor access to the databases of the Union.

During the conversation, the President and the Chancellor exchanged opinions on the possible solutions for migrants and refugees who are currently stranded on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia and in the other countries of the Balkan corridor, as well as on the possibilities to establish a mechanism for legal migration between the EU and the Western Balkan countries.

They welcomed the agreement between the EU and Turkey and expressed hope that it will be fully implemented, thus providing positive results in the process of handling the migration crisis.

The President of the Republic of Macedonia Dr. Gjorge Ivanov sent a letter of condolences to King of the Belgians Philippe, after the terrorist attacks in Brussels.

In these moments of deep sorrow, allow me, on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, to express sincere condolences and to support and encourage you to persist and be decisive in the fight against terrorism, violence and criminal acts, regardless of their origin or motive.

I most strongly condemn this terrorist attack and share the great pain from the tragic loss of lives in this cowardly act.
Please convey the expression of deep condolences and our solidarity to the families of the victims.

Претседателот на Република Македонија, д-р Ѓорге Иванов, денеска го прими Државниот секретар на Ватикан, кардинал Пјетро Паролин, кој престојува во официјална посета на Република Македонија.

На средбата беше разговарано за севкупните билатерални односи меѓу Република Македонија и Светиот Престол, како и за тековните иницијативи во насока на продлабочување на меѓусебната соработка.

Претседателот Иванов изрази задоволство од реализирањето на посетата на кардиналот Паролин на Република Македонија, во годината кога одбележуваме значаен јубилеј, 1100 години од упокојувањето на големиот ученик на Светите Кирил и Методиј, македонскиот патрон Св. Климент Охридски.

„Вашата посета, не само што ми овозможува да ви го возвратам извонредното гостопримство, кое ми беше укажано за време на мојата официјална посета на Ватикан минатата година, туку претставува и своевидна потврда за силната поврзаност, меѓусебното почитување и искреното пријателство меѓу Република Македонија и Светиот Престол", истакна претседателот Иванов.

Македонскиот претседател ја поздрави одлуката на Ватикан за прогласувањето на Мајка Тереза за Светица, нагласувајќи дека овој чин е од особена културна и историска важност за Република Македонија и истакна дека нашата земја ќе се вклучи во одбележувањето на Канонизацијата на Мајка Тереза со повеќе активности. Воедно, претседателот Иванов изрази благодарност за поддршката од ватиканските власти во успешната реализација за поставување на спомен-плочата во чест на Светите Кирил и Методиј, во базиликата Санта Марија Маџоре во Рим.

Посочувајќи дека нашата држава има длабока традиција на почитување на различните верски чувства, претседателот Иванов ја истакна плодната соработка со Католичката црква и нејзината конструктивна улога како столб на меѓунационалната и меѓурелигиска коегзистенција.

Македонскиот претседател изрази задоволство од соработката меѓу Државниот Архив на Македонија и Тајниот Архив на Ватикан, како и од можноста за проучување на архивските збирки на Светиот Престол, а поврзани со историјата на нашата држава.

Претседателот Иванов изрази надеж дека Папата Франциск ќе ја прифати поканата за посета на Македонија, што би било од огромно значење за унапредувањето на билатералните односи, за католичката заедница во Република Македонија и воопшто за сите христијански верници.

In accordance with the conclusions of the latest meeting of the Security Council, the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov had telephone conversations with several Presidents and Prime Ministers of the European Union Member States and states along the Balkan corridor, as well as with the President of the Council of the European Union and the President of the European Council.

In his telephone conversation with the President of the European Council Mr. Donald Tusk, with the Presidents of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Croatia, Mr. Tomislav Nikolikj and Mrs. Kolinda Grabar – Kitarovikj, the Prime Ministers of the Republic of Slovenia, of the Czech Republic, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Poland, Hungary and the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Miro Cerar, Mr. Bohuslav Sobotka, Mr. Verner Feimann, Mrs. Beata Shidlo, Mr. Viktor Orban and Mr. Bojko Borisov, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Bert Koenders, in his capacity of Chairman of the Council of the European Union, President Ivanov informed his interlocutors about the developments at the southern border, as well as about the details of the incident of March 14, 2016 - an attempt for illegal entry of an uncontrolled number of migrants and foreign citizens on the territory of the Republic of Macedonia, stating his concern about the possibility of such incidents repeating.

President Ivanov briefed the interlocutors on the timely, successful and responsible reaction of Macedonian law enforcement authorities, without any use of force.

The Macedonian President asked for an urgent cease of the practice of bringing an additional number of migrants who would then set up camps on the very border line of the Republic of Macedonia. President Ivanov stated that the Balkan corridor is closed for illegal passages.

The Republic of Macedonia, stated President Ivanov in the telephone conversations, will take all necessary measures and actions to protect the state borders and to preserve national security, and Macedonian security institutions will continue to handle the refugee crisis as they did so far, in a responsible and professional manner, having in mind the responsibility for a humane treatment of refugees.

In addition, President Ivanov expressed gratitude to the countries that have sent their police forces at the south border line, and especially those who participated in the handling of this incident.

President Ivanov informed that the country will continue acting in accordance with the European Council decisions and will follow the actions of other countries along the Balkan corridor, not allowing illegal entry of migrants in the Republic of Macedonia.

All interlocutors condemned the incident of March 14, 2016 and stated that such incidents must not repeat. At the same time, they all expressed respect and support for the way in which the Republic of Macedonia has been coping with the migrant crisis.

In the telephone conversations, President Ivanov asked for political support by the European Union, logistical support by the European Commission for the institutions of the crisis management system in order to reduce security risks and protect the border; he also urged for an answer and realization of the requests by the Republic of Macedonia for equipment for border protection and registration of migrants, and he asked for access to the databases of the Union in view of exchanging data regarding the migrants with non-EU Member States along the transit corridor.

The interlocutors agreed that this practice of communication and coordination before European Council meetings, but also whenever necessary, should continue in future, because the Republic of Macedonia is an equal partner that strives to find a common European response to the migrant crisis.

During this and next week, President Ivanov will have telephone conversations with other leaders from the European Union, the Balkan corridor countries and other interested states.
