The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, accompanied by his wife, Ms. Maja Ivanova, today in the monastery complex "Transfiguration of Christ" in Gostivar, which is still under construction, attended the church and people's gathering on the occasion of the Christian holiday Transfiguration of the Lord Jesus Christ.

President Ivanov congratulated the present believers the great Christian holiday, with wishes for good health, love and happiness. The church ceremony was performed by the Tetovo - Gostivar Metropolitan, Josif.

The cornerstone of the monastery complex "Transfiguration of Christ" was laid in 2014 after previous building approval of the Municipality of Gostivar and a blessing of the Tetovo-Gostivar Metropolitan Josif, at the initiative of the citizens of the settlement Ciglana, Gostivar, who help the construction of the monastery church with their own donations and funds.
