The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, met today with the US Ambassador, Mr. Jess Baily, and congratulated the election of Mr. Donald Trump for President of the United States.

The Macedonian President expressed expectation that the US will continue to support the foreign policy objectives and priorities of the Republic of Macedonia - Euro-Atlantic integration, good neighborly relations and regional cooperation. The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the United States, the current situation in both countries and the situation in the wider region of Southeastern Europe.

Both interlocutors agreed to further strengthen, enrich and promote the strategic partnership between the Republic of Macedonia and the United States of America.
