prm_vujanovikWe are concerned with certain events which create great uncertainty among people. Our region still needs greater confidence, communication and positive examples. This was stated by the President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, commenting the event in Belgrade that happened during the football match between Serbia and Albania and its consequences.

The Macedonian President sent this message after the meeting he had with the President of Montenegro, Mr. Filip Vujanovic, on the sidelines of the Crans Montana Forum in Geneva.

The events that are in favor of the region, stressed the Macedonian President, should be used for spreading of greater trust and cooperation between the peoples who live in the Balkans, as we all expected our future together.

- We all expect one day to be in the European Union and NATO, respecting all the applicable standards therein. It is what unites us all, because by respecting those principles and values, peace and cooperation will govern in our region, and above all, commitment to the economy, to creating jobs and ensuring a more certain future for the youth, President Ivanov said.

At the meeting with President Vujanovic, the collocutors exchanged views on the overall relations between Macedonia and Montenegro.

- Our joint conclusion with President Ivanov is that our relations are friendly and traditionally good and that the relations in all areas can serve as positive example in the region. This was an opportunity to reaffirm a number of interstate agreements, the excellent communication between our two governments and to agree on the need to work together in the field of economy in the interest of both countries, especially in traffic connectivity and affirmation of tourist values of Montenegro and Macedonia, President Vujanovic said.
