President Ivanov met with Turkish President Erdogan and Prime Minister Davutoglu

The participation of the President of the Republic of Macedonia at the inauguration of the President-elect of the Republic of Turkey was an opportunity for President Ivanov to hold informal meetings with his counterparts.
At the meetings with the new President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the new Prime Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, President Ivanov congratulated them the assuming of their new functions. The talks highlighted the mutual satisfaction that both countries traditionally nurture exceptionally friendly relations, which are at the level of a strategic partnership. Common conclusion was that in the coming period the focus of the cooperation should be the economy and investment. At the interest of the interlocutors, President Ivanov informed them on the current political and economic situation in the Republic of Macedonia. The talks referred also to the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as the forthcoming NATO Summit in Wales. The dynamics of meetings and exchange of visits in the future period was agreed.
In the talks with the Emir of Qatar, information and views were exchanged on the development of bilateral relations and exchange of visits was agreed for the coming period in order to give additional impetus to the cooperation. President Ivanov discussed the opportunities for strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation with the President of Kazakhstan, Nazarbayev.
