The President of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Gjorge Ivanov, tonight in Tetovo attended the Iftar dinner organized by the Economic Chamber of North-West Macedonia.

The Iftar dinner, held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, was attended by representatives of public and political life, businessmen, diplomats and representatives of civic associations.

President Ivanov congratulated all attendees and members of the Islamic religion in the Republic of Macedonia the Ramadan fasting and the holy month of Ramadan which, according to the beliefs is a month of forgiveness, perseverance and commitment to the faith and wished them family warmth, peace and love.

The Macedonian President said that the religion teaches us to respect religious and spiritual values and to unity among people in the spirit of inter-religious tolerance, adding that Ramadan fasting indicates the ancient tradition of Islam in the Republic of Macedonia.
